How can I get my computer's memory back from its hard-drive?

My computer automatically started its self with a start-up repair system and couldn't repair itself so it kept restarting. So after doing all the options like system restore..ect i did system image and after downloading the cd's. My computer started off as a brand new computer. Because I didn't make another updated cd. But when I started downloading things back, it would say the origin is from the hard drive of the computer. So does that mean somewhere in the hard drive it remembers the current info I had before I used the cds?
